Teeth Whitening
Tooth whitening is a procedure designed to lighten the colour of your teeth. Most people are suitable for whitening, which will not harm your teeth and gums if done properly. Certain types of staining (for example tetracycline stain) take a lot longer to whiten. Crowns, veneers and fillings cannot be whitened, and may require replacement after whitening due to the difference in colour to the surrounding teeth.
We offer in chair whitening or home whitening (take home trays).
In chair whitening involves a two hour appointment where one of our clinicians will apply Philips Zoom whitening gel and a UV light in 3-4 fifteen minute cycles. You should get an instant result, and you will also get whitening trays and bleaching gel to take home.
This procedure costs £500.
Home whitening involves having moulds (impressions) of your teeth taken and bleaching trays made by a dental lab. You can take these home and whiten your teeth using the Philips Zoom home whitening kits which we provide. If the instructions are followed this should give a predictable result within a few days.
We offer 10% and 16% carbamide peroxide which is available at all of our Oak Dental Surgeries.
Costs start at £350 for upper and lower teeth. Please speak to your clinical team for more information.
